Dr Vindhya Mallikage Dona

MD, MRCGP

Dr Vindhya Dona is an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner who joined Redlynch Village Medical Centre in July 2024. With more than 15 years of experience in General Practice, Dr Vindhya has worked across Sri Lanka and Oman, bringing a broad range of international medical experience to her care of patients in Redlynch and Cairns.

Dr Vindhya completed her medical studies in Russia, obtaining her MD and MRCGP qualifications. She is passionate about providing personalised, patient-centred healthcare and developing trusted relationships with patients and families.

Her special interests include women’s health, paediatrics and mental health. Dr Vindhya enjoys caring for patients at every stage of life and takes a holistic approach to understanding each patient’s individual health needs.

Outside of medicine, Dr Vindhya enjoys watching movies and traditional dancing. She speaks Sinhalese, Russian and Arabic, in addition to English, allowing her to communicate with patients from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.

Dr Vindhya welcomes patients looking for an experienced and caring GP in Redlynch and Cairns, with particular interests in women’s health, children’s health, paediatrics and mental health.
